Indeed, If you want your nice good shoes to last longer, you need shoe trees. They are oh-so crucial for the lifecycle of your shoes. And the good ones are made from cedar wood only! They will definitivley preserve the perfect shape of your quality shoes, and prevent them from developing those deep ugly creases, obsorb most moisture inside, and even make them smell a lot better. But beware only choose the less decorative unvarnished ones. those varnished ones don't properly draw moisture like sweat out of leather. The most vital time for using your shoe trees is the hour or two after you have removed the shoes from your feet. that is the fime for them to be inserted. After that, the shoes will have returned to natural shape and the wooden trees can be removed. you can then insert them into another pair. Of course, the best thing to do is to put them in, and leave them in the shoes untill the shoes are worn again.
